此首歌曲是三十年前羅密歐與茱麗葉的改編電影「殉情記」的電影主題曲，原本僅有配樂，歌詞為後人所填。儘管這段愛情充滿淚水與荊棘，夢想和未來都被否定，還是堅信總有一天，會有屬於這對戀人的時光，能有一個嶄新的世界，為這對飽受磨難的戀人閃耀著希望的光輝！
